Ashoka University’s application isn’t just a form — it’s a narrative tool designed to showcase your academics, interests, experiences, and personality. That’s what makes it one of the most holistic undergraduate application processes in India.
But with 14 sections and multiple upload requirements, it can feel overwhelming — especially if you’ve never filled a liberal arts-style application before.
This step-by-step guide breaks down each section of the form, so you can complete it confidently and stand out.

Step 1: Registration & Login
To begin, visit the Ashoka UG Application Portal and register with:
A valid email address (don’t use a parent’s ID)
An active mobile number
Once you submit, you’ll receive a username and password via email to log in.
From the dashboard, you'll access all 14 sections of the form — displayed on a top navigation bar. You can jump between sections, save your work, and return later.
Tip: Bookmark the portal and check your spam folder if you don’t receive the credentials.
Step 2: Understand the Application Layout

Enter full legal name, matching your Class 10 certificate or passport
Upload a passport-size photo (headshot, light background, JPG or PNG under 1MB)
Choose your gender identity and preferred pronouns
Enter citizenship and residency information (India/NRI/Foreign applicant)
This section becomes non-editable after you click “Save” — double-check all entries.
Step 4: Family & Contact Details
Provide details for:
Parent(s)/guardian(s): Name, occupation, education, income (used for aid eligibility)
Siblings, if applicable
Permanent and correspondence address
Emergency contact (can be different from parents)
This section is also locked after submission, so ensure accuracy.
Step 5: Before You Enter Academic Info – Prepare These
To avoid mid-form stress, keep digital copies ready for upload:
